THINK Surgical, a leader in orthopedic surgical robotics, has announced a Limited Exclusive Distribution and Supply Agreement with Zimmer Biomet, a global medical technology company.
This agreement will integrate Zimmer Biomet's technology into a customized TMINI robotic solution for total knee arthroplasty, enhancing the TMINI System’s reach in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) market.
The TMINI Miniature Robotic System is a new, user-friendly, handheld, wireless robot designed to meet the needs of two distinct customer segments.
There are customers who prefer an open platform with various implant options, and those who favor an exclusive platform offering the robot in exchange for loyalty to one implant brand. These segments are roughly equal in size.
To cater to these segments, THINK Surgical supports both with different business models. The company has partnerships with about 10 implant companies to provide an open solution, allowing surgeons to choose from a wide range of implants.
Simultaneously, the exclusive agreement with Zimmer Biomet offers a unique solution by integrating their technology into the TMINI robotic system.
